cash.io does not charge fees. However, all payments are subject to PayPal's commercial transaction fees. This fee is paid by the giver, who selects an amount to give and pays the additional transaction fee. The recipient can redeem the amount of the gift without any fee.

PayPal and Amazon Payments facilitate payments between known participants. But when using cash.io, the gifter doesn't need to know the recipient's email address, phone number, or any other contact information. The gifter only needs to give out a code which can be receemed at cash.io.
